Resin Patio Surfacing in Sittingbourne
Resin-bound surfacing delivers smooth, permeable surfaces that are particularly effective for patios and walkways. The end result is durable, easy to maintain, and comes in a variety of aggregate colours to suit diverse properties.
Our resin experts have successfully completed numerous resin surfaced patios and can customize any patio space to meet your specific needs in Sittingbourne.
What Is Resin Surfacing?
We combine natural aggregates—usually stone between 2-6mm in size—with transparent polyurethane resin, then apply the mixture with a trowel onto a prepared foundation. After curing, you’re left with a solid surface where individual stones stay visible yet are bonded together, producing an appealing textured finish that feels pleasant underfoot.
The resin-bound approach is permeable—water flows through instead of pooling on the surface. This is important for drainage compliance and everyday functionality, as standing water won’t accumulate following rainfall.
New Resin Patio Installations
For new patio projects, we begin by laying a porous concrete foundation. This delivers the stable base that resin requires while preserving permeability across the complete structure.
Thickness varies according to usage. Patios generally need 100mm of porous concrete with a suitable sub-base, all laid with proper drainage gradients, despite the surface being permeable.
Resurfacing Existing Patio With Resin
Older concrete patios that remain structurally intact but appear worn are excellent candidates for resin overlays. We meticulously prepare the current surface—removing debris, fixing cracks, and adding primer to guarantee proper bonding.
We not only provide exceptional value for resin surfacing, but we also deliver options including porcelain tiled patio installations, sandstone patios and more.

We had our driveway extended, new garden steps and path installed by Joseph and his team and they did a fantastic job. They all worked so hard and it looks amazing. Highly recommend!
Thoroughly impressed with Joe and his team who recently completed my driveway in Ashford, arrived on time, completed the job promptly & amazing finish.
Outstanding service, highly recommend!
I had been looking to get our drive done for some time and was lucky enough to find JD drive style. Joseph and his team were incredibly efficient, well priced and did a fantastic job on our drive. Would highly recommend
Joe and his team block paved a parking area at the front of my house this morning. I absolutely cannot praise them enough. A very reasonable price for a fantastic job. From lawn to paved in about 5 hours! No skips required and all materials collected as they needed them. They were so amazing my husband is getting them to come back again and give our back garden a complete makeover. You honestly couldn't wish for a nicer more hardworking team. Thank you Joe. See you again soon.
I had the lower part of my potholed driveway resurfaced to a SMA tarmac finish. It was originally covered in gravel, like the top part, but the slope at the lower end is so pronounced that gravel kept rolling down onto the road and vehicles (particularly heavy trucks) had difficulty getting up the steep slope without spinning their wheels and digging more holes. Joseph advised on the best solution, and he and his team carried out the work incredibly quickly and efficiently this morning before the rain came. I was happy with both the price and the work.
Joseph and his team did a fantastic job on our patio, their quote was reasonable and they were able to get the job done very quickly, Joseph runs his team like a military operation! As well as helping me secure the best price on the materials (which we sourced) they were so efficient and clean on site, with attention to detail as well. We would highly recommend JD Drivestyle and will be using them again very soon for other projects!
Joseph and his team have done a great job - they put down a nice concrete patio in my garden for my garden shed. They were efficient, professional & courteous. Job well done !
Joseph was very quick to answer our initial query and came and quoted the same day (never heard from the other firm I called for a quote). They were always easy to get hold of for any queries we had before the work started, and they widened our driveway and tarmacked it in the same day. All the workers were constantly busy, and were courteous and polite. The work was exceptional and they cleared any debris up before they left. A job well done 😊
We asked Joseph to quote for resin paths around our house and he responded rapidly with a competitive price. In just a day his skilled team prepared the surfaces, laid brick edging and applied the resin, matching our existing drive perfectly. When an incompetent supplier failed to deliver the bricks on time, creating a potential crisis, Joseph went miles out of his way to collect the necessary materials so that the work kept to schedule, remaining calm and professional throughout. Great work!
Joseph and his team really efficient, professional, and conscientious. They repaired a number of broken or subsided parts along the entire length on our long drive. One part does need further attention but Joseph will be over to sort this in the next couple of weeks. Highly recommend
